Indiana All Arabian Horse Show Information...

INDIANA ALL ARABIAN: BLAST FROM THE PAST!!

THANK YOU!!!  To all of the volunteers, committee members, sponsors, advertisers, and most especially the EXHIBITORS who helped make the Indiana All Arabian Show a truly enjoyable weekend!!  We have had nothing but compliments on the facility, the schedule, the "fun stuff" we added, and the show in general.  Included below are notes our show Co-Manager, Daphne Wyatt, received from our Sport Horse judge and some of our exhibitors:

Daphne,
Thank you so much for including me as one of the judges at your Indiana All-Arabian Horse Show.  The horse show facility, hotel, and hospitality were all wonderful (I especially enjoyed the basket with goodies!).  Have a wonderful "2008" show season.

Sincerely,
Peggy Beachy
Crestwood, KY

Hi Daphne,

I just wanted to tell you that I had a great time at your show in Cloverdale.  I had shown at the Triple Crown for the past two years. And with the exception of the 3-day, 3-region format of the Triple Crown, your show this year was just as good (and had a more relaxed atmosphere which was great for the younger inexperienced horses that we had with us).  The facility was wonderful (much nicer and safer than the fairgrounds in Indy) and the footing was really, really nice.  The judges were very fair, everyone in the office was friendly, and most of all we had fun.  I was one of the amateurs who showed with Esser Valley Arabians.  I just wanted to say thanks for a great show.  I know how much work goes into it (we are getting ready for our club show - The Medallion -  in June).

Best regards,
Cindy Ryan
Kentucky Arabian Riders & Breeders Society Vice-President and membership chair

We just wanted to let you know how impressed we were with the new facility and the way the show was run this past weekend in Cloverdale.  The little sack of goodies we were given was just wonderful!  We hope the show will be advertised more next year and that it will grow.  Thank you!

- Diane Reed, Illinois

I cannot express enough how wonderful this show was. Everyone was so nice and helpful, and the show secretaries were patient and fun to be around even when it got hairy! The gift bags were an unexpected surprise!!! Not sure who made the little breads, but ohhh myyy!! They were soooooo goooooood!!! My horses loved the peppermints and even the extras that we never think of were so wonderful.
I am looking so forward to next year... and competing in Region 13. Excellent Show worth the six hour drive and the horsepatality!!!  WOW!!  I can't praise it enough...however the one complaint...the recipe for the bread and perhaps larger loaves!

- Carla Lawson and mnx Alibask (he said thanks for the nice comfortable stall and nice view of the pretty mares!), Kentucky

A big congratulations to the show committee, who worked so hard on this show.  While we would have very much liked to keep the Triple Crown format, it was simply not possible, and the committee worked long and hard to put on the very best show they could - they succeeded!  The "computer method" for calculating scores for Sport Horse In Hand and the new Arabian Scoring system was super!

A link to the show results will be posted as soon as they are available.  - Pat Crutchett, IAHC President

Fun? Classes for everyone? Liberty Class? Safe stalls, Low Price? Yes, all of this can be found under one roof! Mark your calendars for April 18-20, 2008 and head West (or east, north, or south) to the brand new Crossroads Arena and Expo Center in Cloverdale, Indiana.

The show, formerly known as Triple Crown, will feature Sport Horse in hand and under saddle classes on Friday to be judged by Peggy Beachy. For those Sport Horse aficionados, a FULL triangle pattern will be used!!  Also, Hunter Hack Classes are offered, too.  Rounding out a great day of showing on the first day will be an Open Barn inviting all 4-H’ers statewide to visit our horses and stalls.

On Saturday and Sunday, Nationals Judge Jeremy Harper will take center ring (literally) and begin a full slate of Main Ring classes. There will be halter classes galore, with junior and senior championships awarded.

Never been to an Arabian Show? Fear not! The show will offer, for the first time, Opportunity Classes. These classes will be offered in Western Pleasure, Country Pleasure, Hunter Pleasure and Walk/Trot. Exhibitors in these classes will be exempt from paying all USEF fees (but will have to pay AHA Single Event Membership fee of $10.00). What better way to have your horse judged by a Nationals judge and by a true Arabian judge!

Got a green horse, but not necessarily a junior horse (i.e. aged junior horse)? There will be a Green Horse Walk-Trot class. The horse cannot have been shown, under saddle, prior to December 1, 2007.

As if this is not enough, a Liberty Class will be held Saturday night. Talk about bringing back the memories of past Indiana All Arabian Shows. The class will be limited to the first 10 entries ($25.00 entry fee) and winner takes all!

So, mark your calendars, dust off your horse and saddles! Come join us for some fun in Cloverdale, April 18-20, 2008 at our first Indiana All-Arabian Horse Show~Blast from the Past!
