President's Letter

Presidents Letter
We are off and running, we had a successful showing at the Hoosier
Horse Fair. Thank you to all who came and helped. Those who
brought and presented horses as well as those who worked the booth
and helped with the setup and tear down. Thanks to all who helped
with the all Arab show in Cloverdale. If you weren't there I am sorry
you missed out on the fun. Everyone had a good time. Entries were
up even though the number of horses were near the same. The Dates
for 2010 are April 16, 17, 18.
We now have a Youth Director, Meg Forster. Meg has had Arabian
horses most of her life and is currently a 4-H leader in the Hendricks
Co. Horse & Pony. Meg has lots of fun ideas and activities for the kids
she did a great job at the All Arab making sure they were never board.
At the Region 13 Spring Round up meeting it was decided that each
club needed to come up with an Amateur award for the Region 13
show. Each club in the region is responsible for as many awards as
the number of delegates that we send to convention. That means the
IAHC is responsible for 4. The Patron gifts were also discussed they
have come up with some really cool stuff for this year.
Your district directors are working on putting together a district
meeting. If you have any ideas or are able to help get something
organized please contact them. If you are not sure who your director
is or which district you are in, check the club website. On the officers
page is a link to a map that will show you the boundaries' for each
district.
